Tulle-Obsessed Collections - The Marchesa Spring 2012 Collection is Extravagantly Feminine (TrendHunter.com)

ProdigyThe Marchesa Spring 2012 Collection is Extravagantly Feminine

Designer dream team Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig held one collaboration show during fashion week five years ago, and have now returned with the Marchesa Spring 2012 runway performance. This year’s show opened with an intricately detailed fringe dress that looked like it came straight out of the 1920s.

As per usual, Chapman and Craig presented a collection of breathtaking dresses made of flawlessly sculpted horsehair and tulle in mostly soft and neutral colors, with lavender remaining a Marchesa favorite.

The Marchesa Spring 2012 collection was full of gowns that are sure to appear on the red carpet during awards season. I don’t recall an Academy Awards or Emmy Awards red carpet without a gorgeous Marchesa design making a much-anticipated appearance. Here’s to hoping this pattern stays strong for years to come.
