Based on social media rankings and surveys, the infographic takes you through some of the most popular bacon dishes in different areas of the United States. Some of the more surprising entries come from Chicago (chorizo-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon), Austin (flying pig bacon and maple donuts), and Seattle (a burger with bacon jam).
Even more surprisingly, dates are the most popular food to accompany bacon, followed by ice cream, steak, burgers, then hot dogs, donuts, and waffles. Who knew bacon and dates even taste good together? It’s also interesting to see that people prefer bacon-flavored ice cream to a bacon cheeseburger.
