Easy Tips For Your Disney World Trip

By Gina Parks

When you finally decide to plan a Disney World trip, you certainly want to make sure everything goes as planned. Here are a few suggestions to make the most of your Disney World vacation:

You should definitely plan every part of your trip ahead, so you won't have to worry about reservations and obstacles when you finally get there. A well-planned visit is a hassle-free visit.

First of all, you need to check on the closing schedule of the attractions you are interested in.

Bring your own food and beverages for small meals or snacks. Your goal is to have fun at the attractions, but food inside the parks is very pricey. All of the rooms include at least a refrigerator, and the campsites even have a grill, so you can defray costs by bringing your own meals, snacks, and drinks.

Pack lots of sunscreen. The weather in Florida is bright and sunny year round, so you definitely don't want to forget sunscreen. Don't forget sunglasses either.

You should consider bringing some water shoes and renting a locker if you plan to visit a water park.

Gratuities are not included in the dining packages, so you should also have extra cash available.

If your children are coming along, check on height and age requirements for attractions.

Be prepared to show a valid picture ID for all alcoholic purchases. You must have a valid ID even if you included alcohol in your dining package.

Comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for warm Florida weather are a MUST. If you go in the winter, you might even need a sweater or light jacket.

It would be a good idea to buy trip insurance if you plan to travel during the hurricane season. A Disney World vacation is rarely an inexpensive one. You should be covered in the event that something happens.

Carry a minimum amount of cash. You are better off carrying travelers' checks and credit cards, knowing that they can be canceled in case of loss.

If you can fit it in your allotted budget, a Fast Pass ticket option for all members of your party is a great idea. This makes wait times for rides shorter so you can see and do more by not spending a lot of time waiting in line.

Plan the longest stay possible. There is a lot to see and do, so you should make the most of your trip. The longer your trip, the more you can save on discounts.

Be prepared to have a good time, and also try to be as flexible as possible in case inclement weather forces you to trade one attraction for another. There's no way you'll be left without something to do, but being prepared can make or break your good time.
