Don't Miss These Queensland Destinations

Queensland is a condition of Australia, in the northeast of the country. The capital city is Brisbane.



For those individuals who have no idea Queensland, it is sold as the State where Australia shines. It is hot, bright and has (to my mind) the best beaches in Australia, if not the World, and so probably the Universe, not that I have been to them all, or indeed do I intend trying hard to get to them all. That said , it's likely worth a go.

I had a brilliant idea of what folks may suggest going into this story, however it still had one or two surprises. Here's what everybody came up with and they can all be visited best by hiring a campervan:

The Great Barrier Reef

No surprises this came top of the list. The Great Barrier Reef stretching from Central Queensland on the East Coast of Australia to Papua New Guinea is the largest living organism in the world. It is a natural wonder of the world and renowned for the great thing about the coral and the creatures that occupy it.

What was surprising was the dazzling strategies that were recommended to experience the reef. Snorkelling and diving were preferred, as were chopper rides above the reef so that you can truly gauge the dimensions of this incredible place.

The Whitsundays

The Whitsundays are a group 74 islands off the Central Queensland coast. The islands supply a gigantic range of tropical shangri la getaways for visitors of all nature. Suggestions for the Whitsundays included snorkelling and diving, as well as swimming with Dolphins off Hamilton Island. Sailing is also a well-liked past time in the Whitsundays and a variety of boats offer sailors of all ability the opportunity to experience a fantastic day out.

Fraser Island

Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world. No this does not imply it is simply a big pile of sand. It has stunning bushland, lakes, beaches and wildlife. Any Queensland bucket list must include a 4WD camping trip here, but bring plenty of toilet tissue as loos are few and far between. Similarly don't feed the dingoes otherwise the rangers will be chasing after you. You really do get back to nature here.

The Sunshine Coast

There are tons of places to surf in Queensland, however taking lessons in Noosa on the Sun Coast was a popular option. Noosa was once a knackered fishing village but is now a hip, contemporary town offering the newest fashions and food on famous Hastings Street.

Brisbane

Brisbane, capital of Queensland, has its own unique experiences. There are only 3 bridge climbs in the world and one of them is on the Storey Bridge in central Brisbane, which lets you get a very unique view of this town. A short drive and ship ride from the CBD is Moreton Bay, a stunning water way and group of islands that offer camping, fishing, surfing, kayaking, sailing, diving and snorkelling at its best. No surprises here that it hit the Queensland bucket list.

The Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is an enormously popular holiday resort. It offer 26 kms of beaches with Surfers Heaven is iconic for its party and fun lifestyle. The Gold Coast is also known for its theme parks and these naturally hit the bucket list. Warner Brothrs Movie World, Sea World, Dream World, Wet n ' Wild, White Water World and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary offer a great range of rides and experiences for every age.

A less well-known part of the Gold Coast for tourists is Currumbin. This an extremely well liked surf spot for locals and when the tide is out the creek turns into a water wonderland. The most strange bucket list suggestion was taking a walk through the rock pools at Currumbin in the rain.
