They're well cushioned, with soft fake skinny leather-like vinyl which I did not find causes sweating whatsoever. I'm keeping them just because I know I wont have them for very long.

I just want to add some more particulars from my purchasing experience. The bass is much better, they're louder, they're clearer, they're deeper and they are a lot more practical. These appear big and bulky but they're very light. You shouldn't be swayed either way by the "sound mode" feature on these Sony headphones.

These kids headphones are simply incredible, for their cost. I'm pleased with the sound for the most part and the pads are comfy in these kids headphones.
