By Larry Small

If you never visited Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea, this is an article for you. I want to present to you some of the features of nature you can expect if you decide to go yachting by Croatian coast. If you like yachting, you will definitely enjoy Croatia.

Every sailing route in Croatian Sea brings a new story. Croatia is famous for being the Country of more than thousand of islands. Can you imagine how many hours, days or even years you need to explore each island and their hidden bays?

If you ever visited Croatia you know that Croatian coast is astonishing. It is ideal place for going on a peaceful yachting vacation with family and friends.

If you don't have any idea where to sail we have one idea for you. You can sail around the Korcula Island. Korcula is the most populated island thanks to development of industry and tourism. The Korcula Island had many battles, revolutions and changes as no other island in the Adriatic Sea. The history trace is visible on each step, especially on the city walls. It is believed that Marco Polo was born in Korcula.

Climate on Korcula is really good, with lot of sunshine and not many depressing days. Spring starts much earlier than in the continental Europe while winter starts much later so winter doesn't really last long on this island. On the other hand, summer last very long. For those reasons, many people think that autumn is the best season to visit Korcula because days are warm and nights are chilly.

The biggest town on the Korcula Island is Vela Luka. There are series of beautiful bays where you can enjoy with your yacht. The port in Vela Luka is a safe place to anchor your yacht during night. The seafront stretches by the whole length of the town.

Restaurants and bars will delight anyone interested in that kind of entertainment, but for those that are mostly interested in relaxing vacation, there are some popular resorts nearby.

There are many interesting facts about the town of Korcula, from beautiful nature that surrounds it to the abundance in historical and cultural treasures. However, the one thing that is really interesting is that the town itself was built in a shape of the fish bone.
