Road Trip To Alexandra Headland Maroochydore On The Sunshine Coast Queensland

Alexandra Headland is another superb spot on the Sunlight Coast, found between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba, so while you're still driving with Campervan Hire Brisbane, going there's easy. That actual part of the Sunshine Coast is known as the 'Sunset Strip ' and is incredibly well liked by surfers.

Neighbors refer to Alexandra Headland affectionately as 'Alex ' and it's a really relaxed place with a population of almost 7,000 people. The headland itself is terribly rocky and the surf below is thought to be some of the finest in Queensland. If you are not into surfing, the swimming is fine too , with a patrolled area being provided by the local surf club.

If you go to the top of the headland, you can see Mount Coolum in the distance and north along the reputedly endless beach to the Maroochy Brook "a fine view indeed. The favorite activity of the great majority of people who stop to go to Alexandra Headland, is merely a quiet and easy delight in the beach. You can lay on the beach and read a book and wile away a morning.

Take a swim as the day heats up and then relax some more. Another good action to take naturally, is to observe the surfers ride the waves "they are pretty clever. If you like to surf yourself, there are boards for hire and you may also take a lesson or two from the numerous available teaches in the area.

Another popular activity you might like to try is fishing "the all time most relaxing beach activity known to man. If you are lucky, you might even catch your dinner which you may then BBQ at the numerous facilities available for just this purpose. If you do not catch any, just go and buy some from the closest fish shop and BBQ that up as an alternative. It'll taste nearly as good. Enjoy!
