Places To Travel This Time

By Clinton Kindell

Christmas is a far-away reminiscence, Easter is over for another year, and as we approach the mid of April there is just one thing on many people's thoughts, and that is their yearly summer holiday!

Despite the gloom and doom of everyday living such as the tough economy, high unemployment, and ever-rising gas prices, it seems we are all pleased to splash our cash on that well-deserved rest, and why not, every person requires a summer time getaway!

So the problem now is where must one proceed? Well, if you have a look at what the internet trip operators have to give it seems the earth really is our oyster. For vacations in exotic places, the costs are reasonably competitive, the choices are endless, and if 2012 is the year that you're going to take your "holiday of a lifetime", you are set for a treat!

The Mediterranean stays popular for the Brits, and when you think that Spain, Italy, the Greek Islands and the Canary Islands are all less than a 4-hour flight, it is hardly shocking that these vacation locations draw the throngs yearly.

Those looking for something a little more spectacular might head towards Asia, and visit the increasingly popular nations of Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines, where one can enjoy incredible scenery, great cuisine, and friendly hospitality for much less than one would pay in Europe.

Long-haul locations are surely on the grow, and with tickets to Australia costing little money, it is no wonder travelers are waving farewell to the Costa del Sol in support of Waltzing with Matilda right here!

Every tourist has a safari written somewhere on their bucket checklist, and if you discover the costs of Botswana somewhat restricted, then why not head on into neighboring South Africa! During our summer months of July and August, the nations under the equator transfer to their "low season" so safaris are affordable, much less populated, and more enjoyable than any other moment of the season.
