Getting Around St Augustine Florida Attractions Is Half The Fun

By Sarah Wilson

You have an array of options for traveling to the many great St Augustine Florida attractions. This old city is full of interesting museums, rich architecture, and nature preserves. As you decide where to visit, keep in mind you get there can also increase the fun of your trip.

An old fashioned, personal approach can be enjoyed by hiring a country carriage. You'll have your own horse drawn carriage to take you around the old city. Your driver will be a trained tour guide who can enrich your experience by sharing with you the city's deep history.

If you want something less structured, you can opt to ride a trolley. The trolley system stops at all the major attractions. The trolley conductor is also an experienced tour guide who provides an ongoing narrative on the area's history. You can buy a three day ticket that allows you to get on and off as you'd like.

Another three day ticket option is available for the sightseeing train. Just like the trolley system, you're allowed to board and get off the train at your leisure. It will take you to all the best sites, restaurants, and shopping areas.

There is a special train that takes you only to special area sites - those believed to be haunted. The guide on this train will share with you all the spooky and unexplained occurrences at these sites, some dating back to the colonial era. As you might expect, this train only leaves at night.

If your preference is for the more natural, then you can take horseback rides through some of the areas loveliest nature reserves. You'll get to ride through beaches or inland trails. Depending on the route you choose, you can make this a romantic outing or an education family one. Either way, you'll see some amazing, wildlife St Augustine Florida attractions.
