You Must Visit Four Mile Beach

By Anton Maverick

Four Mile Beach is one of the most shocking beaches in the world. This beach is the signature feature of Port Douglas, Australia. If you drive via Port Douglas and on up an especially steep hill, you may arrive at a lookout from which you can see Four Mile Beach in it's wholeness. You could actually spend two hours up there with your campervan and take in the vista which stretches for miles.

It is a scene that merits much more than a cursory look from the automobile window. It is impressive, and best enjoyed over a slow morning or afternoon tea from the comfort of your house on wheels, I choose campervan hire australia for my campers when I am travelling..

When you have had enough of admiring Four Mile beach from on high, drive back down and actually head to the beach, park your wagon and head for the waves. You can walk for miles along a white beach, dip your toes in the Pacific Sea, admire the deep blue hues of the ocean, complete along with white capped waves. Head back to your campervan and relish all of the comfort of home. Take a well-deserved sleep beside the sea, listening to the sound of the waves and the balmy air.

The high point of your day will be to observe the sunset and again, from the comfort of your campervan, this is a special experience. There are camping facilities close by the beach and here's where you need to head for the night. That way, you can sleep beside the beach and experience the sun comming up over the water the following morning.

Australia, especially Far Northerly Australia, is a great place for campervan holidays. You can be as close to the great outdoors as you would like, yet still be cushty. Spend a couple of days at Four Mile Beach if you can because it is a unique experience.
