Samsung UE46D6530 TV Profile

By Larry Lamb

It is the opinion of many that Samsung have been producing exceptional televisions for many years, and the new UE46D6530 46-inch LED 3D Smart TV is the company's latest entry in the marketplace. It incorporates many technological advances that it is touted, by its maker, to be a second generation 3D TV.

This model is also a part of the manufacturer's efforts to provide the market with its now well known One Design technology. The One Design technology is Samsung's trademarked technology which basically deals with making the television more compact. The direct result of this 46 inch television being based on this technology is that it is extremely compact.

This compactness is defined by its thickness and bezel width. The bezel width of the Samsung UE46D6530 46 Inch television is an unbelievable 12 mm, which is less than most televisions available on the market right now. A thin bezel means that the screen size of the television is big while its frame is actually small. In addition to the functionality of the bezel of the television, Samsung has also worked on making it especially stylish with a brushed aluminum design.

The One Design technology, in addition to the bezel width, also affects the actual thickness of the Samsung UE46D6530 46 Inch television. The use of the technology has resulted in the 3D television being less than 3 cm thick. This is a major advantage as it makes the TV easier to handle and display.

It is worth noting that this model has naturally evolved and grown out of earlier models that were manufactured by Samsung. To put it differently, this Samsung Smart TV is a significantly enhanced version of previous models and has had up-to-date new technologies and significant improvements incorporated.

This television's use of active 3D technology is a prime example. The technology itself works through a pair of active 3D glasses and even allows the user to convert mundane two dimensional images into three dimensional pictures. This model's ability to create 3D images from 2D is one of its most significant advantages when compared to TVs of yesterday. The television's advanced 3D glasses utilize a sophisticated 3D transmitter in the screen which communicates with the glasses via Bluetooth.

As a result of the Bluetooth technology, the 3D glasses can function wirelessly while, at the same time, solving the problems pertaining to infrared transmissions of previous 3D television models. Furthermore, both the left and right sides of the 3D glasses show individual images which are all in the 1080p HD format. This makes the final image 3D and fully HD. Also, the television has a 400 Hz motion rate which removes the flicker sensation that first generation 3D televisions with poor motion rates from most manufacturers are plagued with.

Other features of this 46 Inch television that are worth mentioning include a highly efficient LED screen, an in built Freeview HD tuner, built in wi fi, USB playback and PVR.
