Forgetful Search Engine Fanatics - The Google and Memory Infographic Shows How Google Effects Memory (TrendHunter.com)

ApprenticeThe Google and Memory Infographic Shows How Google Effects Memory

According to this Google and Memory infographic courtesy of the good people at Online Colleges, your inability to remember simple everyday things may not actually be a sign of early onset Alzheimer’s. No, you are not losing your marbles at the ripe old age of twenty, it’s your reliance on that handy dandy search engine Google that is to blame.

Knowing that Google will be there to bail you out of any argument with the indisputable truth means you are less likely to work hard to retain the knowledge yourself. Your brain is and always has a been a “use it or lose it” system of operations, and each of Google’s time-saving features effects different parts of your brain. It effects our abilities to organize, visualize and analyze.

Well, it’s not likely the Google and Memory infographic will change our search-happy ways, it is shocking nonetheless. What if Google disappeared tomorrow? Would you remember the name of that obscure artist or who the 37th President of the United States is?

Social Network Neediness Depictions - The 'World Without Twitter' Infographic is Hilariously True (TrendHunter.com)

ProdigyThe 'World Without Twitter' Infographic is Hilariously True

A mere five years ago, Twitter was just starting up and virtually unknown, now, as the ‘World Without Twitter’ Infographic reminds us, it’s hard to remember what day-to-day life was like without the social media giant.

The infographic goes through the top 10 most notable differences in the before and after of the invention of Twitter. My personal favorite part of the World Without Twitter Infographic states how “asking people to follow you will seem self-centered or creepy, or both.”

Other notable differences include, “it’s less likely that more than 300,000 people know how ‘slizzard’ you got last night,” and “without the existence of ‘live tweeting,’ using your cell phone during presentations would still seem taboo.”

Thanks to the World Without Twitter Infographic, viewers can see just how important the social networking tool really is.

Deglamorized Intergalactic Graphs - The Star Wars Infographic Imagines Dull Droid Earth Life (TrendHunter.com)

ProdigyThe Star Wars Infographic Imagines Dull Droid Earth Life

If you’ve ever dreamed of living among Luke Skywalker and the Jedi Knights, you might change your mind after checking out this hilariously realistic Star Wars infographic, appropriately titled ‘If the Star Wars Characters Lived in Our World.’ Created by UltimateCoupons.com, the illustrated chart imagines what some of the intergalactic fan favorites might be doing if they lived on Earth, rather than out in the sky fighting with (or against) the Force.

From Darth Vader becoming a 70s soul singer to Ben Kenobi working as a Wal-Mart greeter, the Earth lives of the Star Wars characters are incredibly funny and surprisingly believable. My favorite of the alternate universe faux bios is Princess Leia’s, who is imagined to be a diehard PETA member and Cinnabon employee.

Hardcore fans of the sci-fi series and newbies alike will fall head over heels for this Star Wars infographic—I know I certainly did.

Pork-Loving Charts - The 'America's Favorite Bacon Dishes' Infographic is Surprising (TrendHunter.com)

ProdigyThe 'America's Favorite Bacon Dishes' Infographic is Surprising

After viewing this post on the ‘America’s Favorite Bacon Dishes’ infographic, it’s hard not to want a bite of delicious meat.

Based on social media rankings and surveys, the infographic takes you through some of the most popular bacon dishes in different areas of the United States. Some of the more surprising entries come from Chicago (chorizo-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon), Austin (flying pig bacon and maple donuts), and Seattle (a burger with bacon jam).

Even more surprisingly, dates are the most popular food to accompany bacon, followed by ice cream, steak, burgers, then hot dogs, donuts, and waffles. Who knew bacon and dates even taste good together? It’s also interesting to see that people prefer bacon-flavored ice cream to a bacon cheeseburger.

Potty Pet Peeve Portrayals - The 'Man Bath vs Woman Bath' Infographic is Extremely Accurate (TrendHunter.com)

ProdigyThe 'Man Bath vs Woman Bath' Infographic is Extremely Accurate

If you share a bathroom with a spouse, partner, or roommate of the opposite sex, take a look at the ‘Man Bath vs Woman Bath’ Infographic. The informative photos take readers through what men and women want and don’t want in their bathrooms, and how the results differ between the sexes—the answers are surprising.

According to the Man Bath vs Woman Bath Infographic, men have an average of 6-10 personal care items, while women apparently have 437. Also, the most irritating bathroom issues for a woman are when the toilet seat is left up and toothpaste in the sink, while men can’t stand when towels end up covered in makeup. Fair enough.

Now that readers are better informed, here’s hoping for some peace between you and your partner in terms of bathroom issues.

Dangerous Drug Depictions - The Drug Addict Profiles Infographic is a Scary Warning (TrendHunter.com)

ProdigyThe Drug Addict Profiles Infographic is a Scary Warning

A foundation that raises awareness of the dangers of drugs in the United States called Rehab Programs has released the Drug Addict Profiles infographic conveying a strong anti-narcotics message.

Profiling addicts of different popular drugs including marijuana, alcohol, ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, prescription pills and crystal meth, the Drug Addict Profiles infographic depicts stereotypical portrayals of each addict in order to show how to spot a drug addict.

For example, Brandon the Coke Head is described as someone who always has a runny nose, snorts a lot, loses weight quickly, is rarely hungry, and constantly on the go. Harry the Heroin Addict, on the other hand, is drowsy most of the time and doesn’t think clearly.

Of course, the Drug Addict Profiles Infographic is not 100% accurate since drug addicts come in all forms, but the portrayals are simply meant to help loved ones of drug addicts recognize the signs of drug abuse.
