Slug Refuges - The 'Life Nature You' Video Connects People to Mother Earth (TrendHunter.com)

RockstarThe 'Life Nature You' Video Connects People to Mother Earth

‘Life Nature You’ is a touching video that illuminates the detachment that many people feel towards nature and the tiniest of creatures that exist in the world.  Myles Thompson is the man behind the idea of this breathtaking short that features his daughter creating a miniature nature reserve in their backyard to rescue the creepy crawly bugs from the threatening blades of the lawnmower.

Surprisingly, by the end of ‘Life Nature You’ Myles Thompson’s tiny daughter has collected insects of all sorts—slugs, spiders, worms and many more. As stated by Thompson in the video’s description, “our impact on the environment as individuals seems minimal,” but each person really does make a difference in the world.

This artistic video is sends out a great message in a time where Mother Earth is suffering.

Deglamorized Intergalactic Graphs - The Star Wars Infographic Imagines Dull Droid Earth Life (TrendHunter.com)

ProdigyThe Star Wars Infographic Imagines Dull Droid Earth Life

If you’ve ever dreamed of living among Luke Skywalker and the Jedi Knights, you might change your mind after checking out this hilariously realistic Star Wars infographic, appropriately titled ‘If the Star Wars Characters Lived in Our World.’ Created by UltimateCoupons.com, the illustrated chart imagines what some of the intergalactic fan favorites might be doing if they lived on Earth, rather than out in the sky fighting with (or against) the Force.

From Darth Vader becoming a 70s soul singer to Ben Kenobi working as a Wal-Mart greeter, the Earth lives of the Star Wars characters are incredibly funny and surprisingly believable. My favorite of the alternate universe faux bios is Princess Leia’s, who is imagined to be a diehard PETA member and Cinnabon employee.

Hardcore fans of the sci-fi series and newbies alike will fall head over heels for this Star Wars infographic—I know I certainly did.

Creepy Cooling Appliances - Erjon Hatillari's Giko Electric Fan Appears Ready to Invade Earth (TrendHunter.com)

SuperstarErjon Hatillari's Giko Electric Fan Appears Ready to Invade Earth

The Giko Electric Fan is a conceptual house fan designed by Erjon Hatillari that belongs in a sci-fi film rather than the corner of a room. The product has a caged body that houses circular blades similar to those found in wind turbines. The legs of the fan are designed like scythes and poke ominously into the floor.

The Giko Electric Fan ditches the two-dimensional design of most house fan blades to improve its air circulation and power output. The result is a fan designed to look better and perform more efficiently than any other air cooler on the market.

The legs of the fan—easily the most alien part of the design—are adjustable and can be raised and lowered at will. The fan’s controls sit atop the orb while its motor sits just above the legs.
