Towering Speaker Systems - The AeroDream One Measures in at an Astounding 11 Feet Tall (TrendHunter.com)

SuperstarThe AeroDream One Measures in at an Astounding 11 Feet Tall

I challenge anyone to find an iDevice dock that is bigger and badder than the AeroDream One. The recently unveiled dock stands a towering 11 feet and requires a ladder for use.

The AeroDream One was created by J.M.Jarre, an audio company founded by 70s synth legend Jean Michel Jarre. In addition to its incredible height, the AeroDream One is also bulky, weighing in at 870 pounds. All of that weight is made up of “five drivers including an 18-inch subwoofer, and 10,000 watts of power on tap,” as Dvice writes. Should you desire an 11 foot iDevice dock with enough power to rock the block, be prepared to pay up: The AeroDream One is priced at a cool $562,000. Fortunately, a miniature 43-inch version is available for a more reasonable $1,200.

Compact Clamshell Amplifiers - Blast Tunes Anywhere with the TDK Portable Speaker (TrendHunter.com)

RockstarBlast Tunes Anywhere with the TDK Portable Speaker

While amplifiers are getting notoriously small, few are as travel-friendly as the miniature TDK Portable Speaker.

The word ‘portable’ used to describe speakers usually indicates that it’s small enough to fit a bag; however, what if someone just wants something to carry in their pocket? This is what makes the TDK Portable Speaker a lot more convenient on the market. It’s a clamshell-style amplifier that folds up and down on the longer side and fits easily into the pocket. It brings the standard power buttons, volume control and, of course, the dock for the iPod. Don’t own an Apple product? No worries, there’s a line-in jack that can be used for every other gadget brand out there.

The TDK Portable Speaker is a basic amplifer that does the job and is conveniently portable for those who are on the go.
